Healthy Habits for a Healthy Urinary System

Simple daily habits can protect your urinary system and prevent common urological conditions.

Healthy Habits for a Healthy Urinary System

Hydration is Key

Drinking 2–3 liters of water daily helps flush the urinary tract and prevents stone formation and infections. Limit caffeine and alcohol, which can irritate the bladder.

Healthy Diet

Reduce salt and animal protein intake. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Limit oxalate-rich foods (spinach, nuts, chocolate) if you are prone to kidney stones.

Exercise Regularly

Physical activity helps maintain a healthy weight, which reduces pressure on the bladder and lowers the risk of BPH and urinary incontinence.

Regular Checkups

Men over 50 should have annual PSA tests and prostate examinations. Early detection saves lives and leads to much better treatment outcomes.
